Are these special dolphins of the non swimming variety
can you tell from the picture?

The prohibition went into effect in 2021 amid concerns that so many tourists were swimming with dolphins that the nocturnal animals weren’t getting the rest they need during the day to be able to forage for food at night...
Hawaii’s spinner dolphins feast on fish and small crustaceans that surface from the ocean’s depths at night. When the sun rises, they head for shallow bays to hide from tiger sharks and other predators.
To the untrained eye, the dolphins appear to be awake during the day because they’re swimming.
But because they sleep by resting half of their brains and keeping the other half awake to surface and breathe, they may be sleeping even when they’re maneuvering through the water."

Spinners seem to use the same sleeping areas over amd over again. Not allowed to go there.
Although I doubt these kids did any harm. Just set them straight and move on. Drop those girls off at the gym.

A couple months in jail and a few thousand dollars in fines for each of them would teach them a lesson that might stick.
Naw, crucifixion, and indoors so they don't get the open air benefit!
In all seriousness, there needs to be a better effort for education. Explaining that while some creatures may appear awake, they are not actually, and disturbing them is detrimental may go a long way. Or not. People can be self-absorbed idiots.
