Nothing fancy to say, but I took my time the other day to bitch about the winds, so it is fair to be thankful for the great weather this weekend.
Yesterday was as nice as NOAA was predicting. We noticed how the temperature is slowly coming up. My husband didn't comeback onboard in a hurry to peel off his suit. For me at minute 12 or so i thought i could've gone without a hood, granted by minute 40 i was happy to have it.
While following husband's flag i picked up covid masks floating on the surface along with the typical white bait boxes.
Why do fishermen throw those boxes overboard? They aren't fully degradable, they have a plastiky layer .. how about keeping your ******* waste until you get back and throw it in the proper place? Just a thought.
And while you are at it... Yes you fishermen that also dive... How about some control with nets, traps and markers. This tangled mess we got at the end of the day had the top of a plastic bottle in between the sargassum and the different thickness lines, that from certain angles looked exactly like a jellyfish . On top of my doc looks like the trash it is but floating in the ocean could have been quite attractive to a turtle.
Maybe it gave us good karma for today. Husband just splashed and I could see his fins all the way to the bottom. Looking forward to my dive in one hour .
