@California Diver and I were hunting for new sites in the La Jolla area most of the morning and had great vis even at shallow depths. So, at the end of the day, we decided to go check out the PC-815 and we were not disappointed at all. The visibility was astounding and I got some great natural light photos.

In case you don't know about it, the PC-815 has a very interesting history including two particularly crazy incidents while being led by none other than L. Ron Hubbard during his 80 day tenure as Captain. The whole story about the PC-815 along with her ultimate demise, spouting geysers, and reports of earthquakes is posted at the link below:

Simply clicking on "like" doesn't do your posts justice - wonderful reports of interesting wrecks along with historical documentation, and pictures. Well done and thank you.

Thanks so much for your kind words! It is the proverbial "labor of love." :)

Hopefully @California Diver and I will be reporting on something new and undiscovered in the near future. We are on the hunt...

Great article! That is South FL like viz you had there!

That was very fun to read. You'd think people would have learn to NOT follow L. Ron Hubbard based upon his military "career" alone.

Thanks, Jim. Yeah, the vis was crazy good that day (especially for the depth and location).
