Was it Local 707? It was in the patio of Mi Casa en Cozumel. Run by Christina who owned Cha Cha’s. Absolutely the best on Coz. So sad when she left
Yes! I remembered it was a number! It was a wonderful restaurant. We had dinner a few times and then it was gone. Thank you for the clarification!

It could have been Sabores across the street from Villa las Anclas..But they closed and became Casa Cuzimil

The list of restaurants that were on my short list on Cozumel that are no mas is long: La Morena, Capi Navigante, Santiago's, Sonora Grill, Acuario, Las Gaviotas, Prima (the old location), Parilla Mission, Playa Bonita, the restaurant in Villablanca hotel (the name escapes me)... and that's all before the pandemic. I hope to get back to the island in April or May but I don't know what I will find.

Local 707 was fantastic and was indeed the successor to Cha-Cha's Kitchen. However, it was supper-only while Cha-Cha's was lunch-only, so Local 707 wouldn't have been what the OP was thinking of.

Parilla Mission is sort of still around. It's inside Casa Mission now, open for breakfast and lunch. Seems to be popular with nuns. Pretty good but an echo of its former self.

Taqueria Díaz, that used to be a couple of doors up from Taqueria El Pique, has moved into where Parilla Mission used to be. They've greatly expanded their menu and have arrachera. I think it might still only be open at night. If you liked Parilla Mission you should try the new Taqueria Díaz.

Maybe you are thinking of a place that has since closed. I ate there a few times. I think it was on 5 or 15th Ave. You came in the front door, walked through the house, the kitchen, and then sat out in the back yard. She had a couple of specials a day. I forget the name. Those pop up restaurants don't usually stay around all that long.
Yes, this place!

This was fun, thanks all!
I think that MM knows what I'm talking about.
And food is so important, must remember everything forever :)
