And all from a single storm which has done a slow horseshoe around the island including a turn south. Very unusual. It's at the bottom of it's turn and should start slowly heading north this morning

How do you figure 6 closures?
Was it actually closed Nov.8 or just a hassle with the bicycle race?

Is it closed today, November 10?

So far, six port closures in November...a new record?
If the port is closed for 48 continuous hours, is that one port closure or two?

Port was closed the day of the Gran Fondo bike ride and is closed, once again, this morning. Tomorrow is not looking good either.
You forgot about yesterday...this is Day#3 in the latest round of disappointments.

Hopefully the Port Captain will open tomorrow but it's iffy. Opening conditions are typically at a higher threshold than closure.

It looks pretty rough out there at the moment (3:30PM Tues November 10).

There's a TS Theta now, so we've surpassed 2005 for the record number of named storms in a season. We might not be done, either. The 5 day forecast gives the system organizing in the eastern Caribbean a 70% chance of developing into a cyclone, and it's on pretty much the same path as Eta.

There's a TS Theta now,
I was mistaken earlier. They have more names to use...

Well, yes. They have the entire Greek alphabet at their disposal. Why would they not?

Eta seems to have made up its mind to cross the narrowest part of Florida into the Atlantic, Theta is headed toward Spain, and what is potentially Iota is on the same track as Eta took into Nicaragua.
