Hi all, I am going for a 2 week visit, Nov 11 - 25, and I'm just writing to see if someone can clarify the new Marine Park Fee procedure.

I've read a few posts, and some say they paid for and printed their proof of purchase/receipt at home and brought it with them to keep in their vehicle or otter box.

Others have said they purchased old-school-style @ their dive op and received the old-school physical tag to clip on their BCD.

Is this 2nd option still available?

Also, I assume the $45 Scuba Tag covers ALL the activities that the $25 Non-Scuba Tag does?

Thanks.

PS Anyone need a buddy Nov 11-24?

We bought permits and got plastic tags at Dive Friends Sand Dollar beginning of October.

There are only some plastic tags left. But no more are produced.
We did not buy the tag at home, so we had to buy the online tag in bonaire.
Cpt Don had computers for this purpose.

Just make sure to have you credit card ready for online payment. Or simply buy them at home.

The 45 $ tag covers the diving and the park in the north.

At the end of August I was at Buddy Dive and they had me quickly buy it on my phone and forward the email to the front desk to be printed and then kept in the truck. I would recommend just printing it at home and bringing it with you.

We were there a few weeks back and noticed our paper STINAP tags were only good 3 months. I had already been working my wife into "well ya know honey, if we come back in a year our tags are still good". she replied nice try buddy....."its says here it expires in 3 months". I looked at it and sure enough.....so whats up with that?

It is a tag for 2019, not for a year.

It is a tag for 2019, not for a year.

Then why does it expire January 27, 2020??? Not trying to be a wise guy, just trying to figure this out and we appeared to have paid full price. I think it was $45 a pp.

I got my tag on August 24th and it expires on December 31st, 2019. Maybe they have a minimum duration of 3 months if close to the new year? Just a guess.
