Yaay!! (and there was much rejoicing)

Hopefully another reason to rejoice ... from another thread it was reported it was reported by @applecorps that there will be a Teric FW update near the end of this month.

Hopefully it's a substantial one :)

Is there something specifically you were looking to get fixed?

Feature requests as opposed to fixes (post #441, p.45 here). The golden one for me would be to have TTS removable from the Standard Layout in OC Rec.

Here are some pics of the different color "themes" that are preloaded on the Teric (there is also a user customizable theme). Note that, according to the manual, the "OC Rec" and vibration alert symbols are only visible on the surface and will disappear during a dive. Also, pictures don't fully capture how truly vibrant the display is - the colors just really pop in person!

Can the teric be programmed to change colors at different depths to account for color changes/bleed at depth? Or is it easy to change colors on the fly while diving?

This is not an issue. Color change underwater depends on distance from the source. We're only talking 18" from the computer to your eyes.

And, no, it cannot be set to change colors automatically.

I don't know if you can change colors on the fly. But, as @scrane noted, it doesn't really seem like there is a reason to want to. The only thing I might do is change the Brightness. I could see possibly having it on High when near the surface on a sunny day, then possibly turning it down to Low or Med if you get to depth and it's really dark at the bottom.

A brightness sensor, like on phones, would be awesome. Particularly if it has access to even higher levels of brightness.

Update just recently came out. While I can modify my screen to have both compass and T1 pressure, I still don't see the option to adjust TTS in the top right. Am I just being blind or are we still waiting for that option?

Welcome to SB.

There's no updates lately. Most are on v.11 and v.12 was for some specific units and there wasn't a public release necessary for that. We'll have to sit bit and dive a bit more to get rid of TTS from the Standard screen.

Sounds great. And thanks for the invite. I'm an instructor here on Oahu and I use the teric 5 days a week for work. I've previously dove on a petrel, a perdix AI, scubapro G2, M2, Z1. Also a cobalt 1/2, and a few others. I'll hands down say I love this watch, for anyone that's interested. I purchased mine back in December and actually had to replace it last week. It took a rather nasty fall and impact on my boat and lost AI capabilities. That being said its phenomenal. My only issue, and someone else may have encountered this, other than TTS. Is that on occasion I've found the compass to be about 10-20 degrees off from actual north, or at least what all my other compasses say. On top of that I ran into several moments where the compass seemed to lock into where it was and no longer position, while under water. I speculated it may have something to do with my diving with arms crossed and then flipping my wrist over to check it. But basically when this happened if I held my wrist up, and spun a full 360 under water, the north would stay locked all the way. I corrected it when I came back to the surface and recalibrated the compass, still wasnt the best experience though Haha. I am kind of curious if anyone else encountered it.

Despite that, I've used a lot of computers and I am quite adamant in my love of shearwater. I do hope we can change TTS to.. say. A T1 pressure. But with the new customization to home screen I'm really enjoying being able to put down T1, and at least my digital compass bearings all in one. It was a great update.

P.S. - I am currently on V12 since my replacement came.
