Hello hello I have much to learn and and much to show and much to teach and much to show off!

Participating in threads with photos is joyous, I find speaking overrated and the eye beats the ear

Increasingly I'm binning photos that remain relevant, able to be added to multiple threads
just so I can add new photos for other threads I'm currently viewing.

My photos revolve around gear ideas, solutions, and diving techniques from old to new, always relevant

I'm not going to go beserk with millions of photos I just demand a megabyte increase

"Please sir, I want some more!"

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

You realise that 50 mb is about 1,000 reasonably sized photos on a web page (if you do it correctly). On my web site, most of my photos are 20 kb, but they were done back in the days when it was dial up and storage space was limited. Now I do my photos about 50 kb and they are about 800 to 1000 pixels wide.

There's a limit of 20 photos per post. A 50mb image is not going to look any better here than a 5mb image but it will print better. I doubt most people will notice a difference between a 50mb image and a 1mb image since screen resolutions are a tenth of that.

Folks thanks for your time, I indicated 50mb because at 33 photos the gallery tells me
I have reached my 50mb limit if I attempt one more upload of one more photo.

My uploading method, is to press upload images, find an image on my computer, and press select.

Other than this I have no more idea of what I am doing, and I absolutely most definitely have less idea
of what you guys are talking about.

How do I shrink my stuff in order to make it fit

Cheers.

Google resizing your pictures....my phone automatically asks and offers three different options...all OS offer this as well..

Dude you're a dude, "Free air for life for you!!!"

Oh I see you're in New York City, my whips are only a few metres long, "No air for you!"
a good diving mate of mine was recently there scooping up some B&H bargains

See how you've made me feel flyboy08

dilemma solved I now have shrinkage organised

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, geez I'm glad I don't have a cell phone, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

and see you again diversteve, the captain of our boat is Scuba Steve, yeah

hey Michael exceptional website, it's like my personal encyclopedia, and brilliant effort with Catlypso
What structure, I'm sure I've heard that name before, wasn't that our most famous dive ship, when skindiving was harder, adventurous and the divers tough, ha ha ha and well done on the bad husband from Birmingham

I thank you all

Photoshop has a save for web option. I'm sure some of the free downloadable clones do also.

Try to find a later version of Paint Shop Pro. Or IIRC Irfanview has compression also.

You might also store your photos on a public photo site and link to them in your posts here. The icon on the toolbar that looks like a mountain range is for that.

Just try it before you upload a bunch of photos - some sites - I believe Photobucket is one - won't let you link to your photos without including their promo link in all your images.

Thanks man, I'm in the process of taking all my single hose gear to the tip
and cracking back open again the double hose stuff along with the manual gearbox
so I think I'll just shrink what I've got when I need it, without wearing myself out too much.

very good

If you upload photos to the post directly, instead of adding it to your media gallery and then linking to it in a post, I don’t think it counts against you.
