We came across this guy close to Pulau Wofoh - luckily we had our drone in the year. He was about 2 meters long :) Crocodiles in Raja Ampat are truly a rare sighting but they are territorial. Therefore we would say the most important thing is local knowledge from local dive masters - they know all the spots.

I haven't seen one either, though saw the archers.

Crocs are not on my list. I have absolutely zero interest in an encounter anywhere, anytime.

I'm off to Raja Ampat for November, have read the report on Divernet previously, it seems an extremely rare occurrence, so I've decided not to worry about it too much. Whether I'll be diving in or around mangroves, I'm not sure :) The only thing that gives me the creeps when I'm diving is jelly fish haha having said that I'd certainly not want to be close to a saltwater croc and would be backing away from it if I did see one. Not sure what else you could do, apart from try to feed it your camera if it decided to try and have a nibble...

You'd sure get some great shots!
