I'm a Fish!
Hi everyone. I'm looking for a stainless steel backplate. Interested in some of the heavier/ thicker plates. STA'S as well.
I have Halcyon and Agir- Brokk wings.
I dive the cold waters of NorCal mostly wet. 220 lbs diver.
Anyone have anything laying around they want to part with ?
Cheers

I would consider one from dgx or OMS. My blue reef plate was not finished as nicely compared to those. I suspect blue reef does not polish and passivate the finish on their plates.

Hard to beat a plate from Deep Sea Supply in California. One of the few plates that you can add weight plates to for almost zero lead on the hips.

DGX or OMS worth paying 50 to 100% more for?

Not to me. I had a DSS SS plate and a Blue Reef SS plate. I sold the DSS and the BR is still my main BP for doubles. I've used it a fair bit in salt water and it still looks great. No rust or other discoloration. I don't need my BP to be polished and I don't have any issues with rinsing it off after using it.
