You mean this? I guess since I did not ask to be let back in it won't happen. No problem. Just funny that after the site switch the ban was lifted for a couple weeks during which I did post there and followed all the rules. Then all of a sudden POOF no more access.
Yes, exactly. Shortly after the site switch occurred, we realized that forum bans had not been carried over automatically. The was quickly rectified.

I'm curious as to which mods reviewed it and made the decision. As a business supporter who has been spending a lot of money over the years to support this site, I think I have the right to know who made this decision."

I had forgotten about this particular Portion of your response. Thankfully Pete has decided he would rather forego business sponsorship revenue than allow special moderation treatment.

While it's fun to watch Jim and Marg piss all over each other, it's disruptive to the current topic. The question is, when y'all letting Jax back? While she may have been "disruptive" to a bunch of pansy cave divers, I enjoy her commentary and her willingness and ability to call BS when she sees it.

The community must always come first. I won't be held hostage by someone's money.

:rofl3: Are you starting a reinstatement petition? :D

Everyone is dancing around the subject, and I wrote a very (very very) pointed post, but the powers that be decided to take the kindler gentler approach. I prefer to be Frank.

Don't beat around the bush, just come out and say it. :)

OK, I'll vote for her return in chains too. -we all know what my vote is worth...

:happywave: I vote 'yes' for the return. Even if it is limited to non-green zone forums and/or surface interval.

There are folks, who speak eloquently, but are seeping poison through their clenched teeth, and folks, who sometimes speak in a "colorful" manner, but generally mean well. I would trade 1000 of the former for 1 of the latter any day. Of course it's the latter who are much more likely to violate TOS and get kicked out. I don't know Jax personally, but from her posts, I never got the impression of a mean-spirited person acting out of malicious intent. I was quite surprised by that perma-ban. Even though I realize I certainly don't have all the facts, excluding people just does not feel right. A part of what makes this a great site is that it's an inclusive community, where people generally feel welcome.

Criticizing moderators' decision seems like a bad strategy, since it is human nature to justify our actions and we don't want to prime the moderators in the wrong way. On the other hand, at least in my book, there are few things that instill respect as much as forgiveness, and admitting a mistake, those are exactly the kinds of things that radiate strength, integrity, and confidence.
