Help me decide on what to buy. After a month of going back and forth I need to decide.

I really like the TG-4 due to the fact that it has RAW images and it has zoom. It also seem nice that it is waterproof so that if the housing leaks it will not be a big deal. It also could be used on land as a good point and shoot for hikes ect.

The Sealife seem like a cool all in one unit that would be a little bit cheaper since it does not need a housing.

It seems like both would be great for diving but I am sure there are many more considerations I am missing. Help me with pros and cons ect.

I do have a solid photography background on land but am kinda new to the underwater photo world.

TG-4 has these shooting modes
Intelligent Auto (iAUTO), Program Auto (P), Aperture Priority (A), Scene Modes (SCN), Microscope, Underwater, Custom Mode 1 (C1), Custom Mode 2 (C2)

I am not sure how close to full manual you can set the custom modes.

You need to look a little further into the differences and specs.

The TG-4 has a very sharp f/2 ED glass lens (the same as their more expensive slr lenses). A very fast processor, great sensor, lots of great features, and is shockproof and waterproof. It does incredible macro right out of the box.

One thing I have not seen to compare is how do the two function with lights and strobes? Does one camera have an advantage on how those function or are they similar?

I was able to demo the SeaLife Micro in the pool at the dive shop and it had an attached light that worked well. JackConnick I just noticed the TG-4 package on your website and it looks nice.

How do they compare in video features and quality?

hi Burhan - the TG-4 has a better macro mode, and can optionally take beter wide-angle if you use the excellent UWL-04 fisheye lens. The advantage of the Sealife Micro HD is that it is very simple, easy to use, difficult to flood. Great for someone who doesn't want to learn a lot of modes or use a lot of buttons.

Here is a SeaLife Micro HD video, and here is an Olympus TG-4 video - if that helps.

The TG-4 performs very well, will shoot better in low light. It has some programing ability, but not much (you can choose a couple of apertures, or use program mode). But shooting in RAW and post processing gives a huge advantage. The fact that you have a sharp, fast, zoom lens gives you a lot of advantages with video.

We have a review here.

Here's a couple of shots.
Macro mode, just with the camera.

Olympus just announced a new ring flash attachment, they also have an older led ring light attachment. These were taken with just the camera and it.
