On 7/13/2012 the Ken Nedimyer and the Coral Restoration Foundation planted the first nursery-cultivated second generation elkhorn coral on Molasses Reef. This is a milestone for coral restoration as explained by Ken is this short video:

Yes. Yesterday was the first time nursery-cultivated elkhorn, from the nursery near Snapper Ledge, has been planted on the reef.
So they will be doing both staghorn and elkhorn from now on.
