Today was a very special Dive Day!

For the first time in along long long time Ricardo and Karen got to dive together without divers.
Just the 2 ofus at Tunich reef in Cozumel very early this morning.
How I love that reef, yousee everything as you drift by.
In the middle part of the reef the formationsremind me of the shapes of the dunes in The Netherlands.

Gorgeous!

We have agreat job and it still does not feel like a job!

That is the dive I miss the most!

+1 One of my favorites. I even commented on it from my last trip (August). We were only 5 divers and had ripping current and every critter you would want to see. It was like flying !!

I share your love of Tunich! Seems like I find everything I have been looking for all trip - while I am there.
Work isn't work if you like it.

That's one of my favorites too. Nothing like flying by the seat of your pants!

the second dive today.

Couple of highlights (beyond the usual, including schooling silversides and porkfish):

An octopus mostly visible in a hole, surrounded by empty shells and a tiny juvi high hat.

A huge moray splayed out in a cut with two juvi spotted drums doing circles in front of him.

My CZM frequent diver group has a saying "Tunich never disappoints!"

First time I dove it, I went flying through a LARGE school of medium sized baraccuda that were just chillin on top of the reef, waiting for some food to come swimming by. Scary and exhilarating at the same time. Loved it.
