I finished my NAUI open water cert. two weekends ago, then dove with my buddy last weekend. I wanted to dive this weekend but I dont have anyone to dive with so..... I enrolled in the NAUI advanced open water course for this weekend!!!

Me too! I got certified last month at a quarry, then promptly went to curacao and did 3 days of diving... Now I'm getting all antsy, so I signed up for AOW in 2 weeks. Can't stop thinking about it... can't wait. I already spent a ton of money on a lot of gear i probably won't get to use too much. But my gear sure is pretty to look at.

It is a blast as Fnfalman said. I am sorry you guys are so far away or id invite you to our dive events (You can still come but I am sure Dallas is a long haul)

Dont give up or discouraged though divers are fairly easy to come across if you just look hard enough.

Welcome... Here we don't try to cure you of your addictions rather encourage and share in its Highs & Lows. :eyebrow: Keep your head into it and play safe. Congratulations! Time to move to the coast for the endless summer!

Awesome!!! Congratulations! I'm also addicted and pretty new myself. I hope AOW goes well. Let us know all about it.

Addiction is a good way to descibe scuba!!! Congrats and be Safe

Congratulations to you all. Be active divers. I know that's hard if you don't have others to dive with, so look into dive clubs in your area- I am sure they exist. Also look at the dive buddy section here on scubaboard. Also, watch for dive trip specials on several websites, including divetravel.com, as well as the on line versions of Scuba Diving and Sport Diver. Enjoy your continuing dive education, but also, don't forget to just go diving too!!
