All my C-8080 stuff sold on EBay for over $430, so I'll be ordering an E-PL1 by next weekend (PT-EP01 will not be until after I sell off A720IS stuff).

Has anyone put together a list of settings and menu navigation for setting up E-PL1 for use with INON strobes?
Once I have ordered camera instead of spending my spare time looking for best deal on a Champaign one, then I'll start pieceing together what info I can find from this forum.
I remember some discussion awhile back about menu having to be activated itself before options can be selectable?

When they do, I want a copy -- especially if they are using the Inon D-2000.

I also have a D-2000, and was following the post between you and Nemrod in the Cannon forum the other night with interest. Hopefully you guys will get it all figured out before I get my set up :-))

Ordered my Champaign colored E-PL1 today from buydig.com, it was $517 with 4-5 day delivery.
Tried ordering from EBay, but kept getting overbid on them. I refuse to pay 90% of cost on a used one, when they are $513 to $524 shipped from places like buydig, amazon, and bhphotovideo with full Olympus USA Warranty.
Can't wait for it to arrive so I can test out it's JPEG capabilities by taking pictures of A720IS and accessories to sale on EBay.

I'll be watching this thread closely too :) I bought the camera last week and am getting used to it on land, will be ordering the housing at the end of the month and plan to use it with my Z220 strobes in full manual mode. I can't see anything in the menu that would cause me any problems other than the slightly disappointing sync speed with the flash and the fact that unless I'm missing something obvious the only way to use macro is but using the macro scene mode and losing my manual control..

Update: Do not order from Buydig.com. I ordered Sunday evening, paid via paypal from my checking account. Monday status was changed to "processing", Tuesday status was still listed as "processing". Sent them an email a lunch, actually had a fast reply, stated:
"This order is currently being processed and being sent to our warehouse for shipping. We anticipate your order will ship with in the next 24 hours. Once the order ships an email will be sent to you with the tracking information."
A few minutes later I received this one "I apologize for the inconvenience. We actually don't have gold in stock. Would you prefer black or blue?".

So I'm starting to get upset by now. They listed it in stock, took my money, now they will not provide the product I ordered. I then went online and looked at buydig.com and beachcamera.com, who are one and the same. Exact same physical address. Both vendors were still listing the Champaign colored E-PL1 in stock.
Went to Amazon, and Beach Camera was listing it in stock on there too. So I called them, they checked and sure enough, didn't have any. Offered my money back, said it would take 1 or 2 days, then asked if I wanted a blue or black one. At this point I asked for my money back, was then told it would take 3 days. Also asked for a confirmation email.

Two hours later no email, I check online, all three places are still listing them as in stock. Checked my account with buydig, and it still showed they were "processing" my order. So I called again, this time a man answered, I gave him the order number and asked for a status: he replied, we'll refund your money when the camera is returned. WHAT!!! Camera returned, I never received a camera!!!! He finally got it straightened out, then said it would be 3 to 5 days before they would have the money back in my account.
Let's see, they took my money on Sunday, it's now Tuesday, and they are saying it might be 5 more business days before my money is refunded!!!!

So this time I ordered a Champaign E-PL1 from bhphotovideo.com, recieved this in email: Estimated Delivery Date: Friday October 8, 2010.
Went online to check my account with bhphotovideo, and it shows: In stock, order sent to warehouse.
The best part about ordering from bhphotovideo was the price, they drop it today: $509.99 with free shipping in USA!!!!!

I've had good luck with them, but I can see they tried to do a bait and switch, despicable. My rule, when I pay online and am not completely comfortable with the vendor, I use a credit card. If there is a problem, the credit card people will reverse the charge if you call them and dispute it. You may have to fill out a form with details, but you get your money back pronto. The sellers hate it because they have to eat processing fees, but that's their penalty for being aholes. Use a credit card!

BH is completely trustworthy. They are human and could make a mistake, but they correct it immediately. The smaller dealers... sometimes are not as safe. Ah the joys of online shopping.

UPDATE concerning BUYDIG.com
They did send me an email this morning stating they had processed my refund.
Money showed up in my PayPal account this afternoon.

Just call and verify an item you want is in stock before buying from them, because their website still has this message concerning the Champaign E-PL1 In Stock. Usually ships the same or next business day.

Ordered PT-EP01 and gears from b&hphotovideo today, expected delivery this Friday. Guess I'll be doing some cold water diving this winter to play with my new camera system.

Just finished checking UPS, seems my housing will arrive tomorrow. Might be able to squeeze in a dive after work Friday, so ready take the E-PL1 underwater.
