I know, I could do a :search:

But hey with so many local members I guessed I could get the latest.:D and this is much more FUN.:D
One of my students(he's on a budget) is looking for some CHEAP car rentals.(next week)

Any good suggestions.

Been to long for me since my last time on the island.:depressed:

Try National web site, I booked thru National USA, Specials To Go, got a rate of 200.00, with an upgrade to midsize, including theft insurance! Only thing withich was a surprise upon pick up in Curacao, $500.00 refundable deposit, for insurance, even though we had our own insurance!! But, since no damage to car, just a deposit.

There are plenty of cheap local cars for rent on Curacao. Try Noordstar... they offer cheap local cars for rent that are in good condition. By no means are they luxurious, but they reliable and cheap. There are other options for cheap local rentals aswell depending on where you are staying. Here is a link to the website: ::Noordstar Rent a Car:: Car Rental in Curacao // Huurauto's op Curacao where rates on posted.

If you pre-book through National, Budget, etc... you will be subject to tourist rates. However, you will have to pre-book anyways to insure a vehicle.

If you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. More than happy to assist.

See you soon,
Bryan

HI Bryan,

Our dive club is coming down next year and planning beach diving to go with the boat diving. Does anybody rent trucks like Bonaire. Or are they all cars. Is it ok to put scuba gear in cars? I want to get this all lined up before we come down.

Thanks
Dave

Dave,
Noordstar also rents trucks but better yet... stay at Allwest Apartments in Westpoint (..:: All West Curacao ::..) where you can put shore diving, boat diving and a truck rental all in package... then you can dive all of Curacao!!

Check it out... you won't be disappointed!!

Any other questions... just ask!

Safe diving,
Bryan

One point of interest. You can often get a deal online. But.... you MUST bring your letter of confirmation or they claim not to have you in the system and then charge you a much higher rate claiming they have to pay for the parking at the airport. A vehicle will definitely make your stay easier. The compact cars however are extremely small; I recommend at least one upgrade from the smallest.

Thanks sofar,I knew this was the best place to ask.
He'll be in tomorrow,,he'll be ever thankfull.(and spend some money on the island):D

Both Hertz and Budget rent trucks. We rented from Budget, smaller truck but it had 4 doors. We were advised by our apt. rental owners to not leave anything in the back of the truck that you want to keep. Roads are less maintained out west so you might want a truck/SUV. A lot of the sites we dove it was dirt roads as you got closer to the water.
