What do you do with your valuables when you are diving?

I'd imagine you'd probably leave your wallet and cell and such in your vehicle, but what do you do with the keys?

wherever you put them make sure you inform your buddy, esp if they came with you! In a emergency they may need the keys to get cellphone, first aid kit, drive away fast so they don't need to explain what happened...:eyebrow:

I put my valet key in the inside pocket of my drysuit undergarments. While I could (theoretically) dive with my key fob and everything, I don't take the chance just in case I end up having a drysuit flood....which has happened.

When I used to dive wet, I put the valet key in the sleeve of my wetsuit, and then put the glove over it....that way if it were to work its way out somehow, it would still get caught in the glove.

Ligers - mentions the use of a valet key here. I think it is important to know why. Like some, I put the key on a lanyard around my neck (I dive wet) and I have just the one key. It looks like your normal rubber coated head on it. After diving with it for about a year I found out that it is in fact a 125 dollar CHIPPED KEY. (luckily it still works...) Make sure you know if you have a chip in your key and if you do get a plain old valet made. It will unlock the doors, and start the car, but you usually won't be able to drive it away.

I tuck my chip key under my bumper - no one can see it.

I have a key pad on the door so you can just lock everything inside. or if you want to take with you. I just put everything in a dry bag in my gear bag on the boat.

Valet key in a magnetic key holder, hidden under car on frame. Plus let your buddies know where you stash it.

I see lots of people put them under the fill cap.
