I will be there at the same time Aug. 30 to Sep. 6. Lets find the best bungalow and flip a coin to see who gets it.

Snorkel Guru,
I would guess you are flying Continental from Houston to Roatan. We will be on the flight that arrives at 12:17p. Which flight will you be on? Are you traveling with anyone? We'll look for you there.

we had a room on the inside of the key looking at the Dolphin training area. Loved the room. Quiet, close enough to everything. Heres some pix:

BTW, the room had a bed, A/C and a bathroom. Good enough. Didn't spend any time in it.

Yes that is my flight. I will be traveling alone. Look foward to meeting you. Snorkel Guru

Which property is that and what island...I'm going in October...thanks for your help.
Which dive company did you use?? Or do you recommend?

Welcome to ScubaBoard!

AKR = Anthony's Key Resort on Roatan - they are an all-inclusive resort with their own dive operation. There are a number of other threads in this forum on the various resorts on Roatan - you might search for some of those. :)

Wow Merxlin!!! Thanks for the great photos. Now I am more excited than ever. I can hardly wait for the end of next week. Why does it always seem to take so long before we can go but then the time there goes so quickly?

Hmm.. I just signed up for the Hill Standard in middle-September. I don't plan to spend a lot of time there during the day, but will I roast trying to sleep at night?

Roast......no, more like steam.......as mentioned, if you don't like the heat, get A/C. The week I was there some of our crew stayed on the hill and were OK, but it was also relatively cool and only one rain day! (because the hurricane waited until the following week:D)

I would stay on Anthony's Key.....it's just a short quick water taxi ride to the dock....have never slept @ AKR but there there hundreds of times..We had friends that stayed on the Key a few years ago & loved it there.......Time wise, it won't matter, someone will be there moments after you ring the bell I mean tank........You'll enjoy ARK ALOT, much better than the other side of the island ie CoCo View or FI---diving is much better on the north side.............
