I have an ocean signal PLB1 with a custom divers canister. The plan was to update to a backplate and wing and use this canister where the light canister would be to hook the long hose round.

Maybe in the future, but not now.

  • Where is T-Satellite coverage available?

T-Satellite currently covers the Continental U.S. including Puerto Rico, Hawaii and parts of southern Alaska. Check out our coverage map to see where coverage is available. We are also collaborating with our global roaming partners and SpaceX to offer satellite services to our customers when traveling abroad or in international waters in the future.

The website says 75x125mm. Suspect the dryfob is similar. Got this in the UK specific for the PLB1

I like that the ResQLink is relatively long and narrow, meaning it can neatly fit in a relatively small diameter round housing.

I would also like to touch on something else here. I am going to get a ResQLink view for me. I ALWAYS dive w/ my wife, I wonder if it would make sense to get her something different for redundancy? Like the nautilus nextgen.

Like the nautilus nextgen. Or i may just get her the same one I get and be done w/ it. When I first started diving these weren't a thing but the more diving we way out in the open ocean, the more i'm annoyed I didn't get on this bandwagon sooner. It's a small price to pay for something I hope I never have to use.

The use cases and utility for the PLB, the InReach Mini, and the Nautilus are all rather different, and depend on where you are diving. There is no perfect answer, and the best answer in one location is not always the best answer in another. I'd definitely go for diversity of approaches rather than redundancy.
