My second trip to Bonaire was incredible again. Topped 400 dives while there and added a couple "never seen before" items to the list.
One of my last dives at the site Keepsake, we found a Ribbon Worm right near the mooring for boat dives.

Also experienced a massive bait ball of big eye Mackerel, a spontaneously puffed up pufferfish (nothing noticed that would have caused it) and a couple pufferfish chasing each other around in circles for a couple minutes. And of course the usual cool stuff we see all the time.

Here's the Big Eye Mackerel bait ball that's occasionally spotted on Bonaire:

The first time I saw this bait ball it was pretty mind blowing. Some fellow divers were pretty excited about it on shore and asking if I saw the bait ball etc. I thought I had but it turned out it was actually just a random school of fish. I'm glad I went out again with their heading because once I saw the real bait ball it was incredible. there were so many fish so close I had to pay a little attention not to get disoriented. Highly recommended experience!

Glad they're still around. What an incredible experience. :)

Yeah, it was cool :). Five minutes after my tank went flat I was still down taking shots ;). Good I used to free dive, ha, ha, every breath I managed to get my SPG went negative!

Funny how really cool stuff makes us forget to check the gauge. I'm guessing you weren't too deep, so not that big of a deal.

Yes I was by that time shallow. The bait ball was around the entire dive and swept back over us during the end of the dive and safety stop. And to be clear, I knew I was nearly OOA and simply did not care :thumb2:. Yes, a G250 on a Mark 11 will about empty a scuba tank!
