Enquiry about good Scuba Shops in KL

HI guys, as Im passing through KL on way to Sipadan I need to get a few items, including a camera housing for my Canon Ixus 70. Any one can recommend good scuba or camera shops that may be of use to me?

1. There's dive shop in Mega Mall Midvalley, top floor, between sport shop and cinema. I don't think they have canon housing. You can also check at canon outlet if I'am not wrong at third floor. I saw few canon housing are displayed but not sure for Ixus 70.
2. Planet Scuba Planet Scuba - Takes You to Greater Depths
3. Not exactly in KL, good website, check this SCUBA SYMPHONY MALAYSIA they have ikelite housing for ixus 70.

I don't think 1 and 2 a big into camera equipment. Doesn't hurt to ask them though. Make sure they have in stock before you get there. Ask them to put aside to be sure to be sure.

Hi gee13,

You might want to check out Scuba Dynamics in Sri Hartamas. I have found them to be one of the best dive shops in KL. The salesperson, Guru, is a great help and if they don't have what you are looking for you can be sure that they will order it in or tell you where you can get it.

Edit; I was in the diveshop at Megamall just the other day and they didn't have much in the way of anything in stock or on display.

I have never shopped there so can't give you any first hand advice. However, I know the bloke and he's a bit of photography nut.

Planet Scuba's a good shop with very helpful staff, but as mentioned earlier, not a big photo shop.

For camera stuff, I would also recommend Scuba Symphony which is in Centrepoint in Bandar Utama. I bought all my camera gear from them. For everything else, like jackd said, Scuba Dynamics is pretty good. Their range of stuff is quite comprehensive.
