Hello again!!! We are headed out to Las Vegas in 10 days. Does anyone recommend a dive shop in the Las Vegas area. ( I already checked the Scuba Directory but I'm more interested in personal experience and recommendation.) We are thinking about doing a High Altitude Certification on our next trip out to Las Vegas and wanted to get hooked up with a good shop. (anyone dove Lake Mead??)

Great place, but the underwater 'one-armed bandits' get in the way and it's a bugger swinging your hips in the water to the sound of "blue suede shoes'.Hahahaha....
Hope you have a good time.
There can be only one,
The Gasman

And you really have to look out for the diving Elvis's...
You don't wanna know what they'll do if you shine your HID (spot) light on 'em. The sequins on their suits can be blinding!

Is Las Vegas high enough for altitude? I thought it was about 1100 feet at Lake Mead. I live at 6600 feet. Did my OW certs at 6900 only because it was January and a blizzard so the lake at 9500 feet wasn't accessable. 1100 doesn't seem like "altitude".

Some of Kate's sequins would come in handy up here.
